QUAIL - BOB-WHITE

Latin name - Colinus Virginianus
Approximate size - 9½ - 10½ inches
Incubation length - 22 - 23 days

Main characteristics:-
* These are easy to sex in their normal colouring
* Male has white mask
* Female has fawn mask
* Good egg layers from March through to September
* Not very loud
* Can be kept in colonies with a ratio of 1 male - 2 females
* Many mutation colours available
* We currently have rare mutations
* Roughly 7 - 8 ozs in weight
* Can be cannibalistic when young - i.e. toe picking, cere picking
