Approximate size - 5 - 6 inches Incubation length - 17 days Main characteristics:- * Easily sexed from 8 - 10 weeks old * Male - chestnut head and very little flecking on back * Female - brown mask with heavy flecking on back * These quail are relatively quiet - they don't have a loud offensive call * Excellent egg layers * Can be kept in colonies although as with all quail, the males can be extremely aggressive.
